The department is
headed by a Commissioner who is responsible for all teacher development
programmes, including in-service teacher training, presently under the
Education Standards Agency (ESA).
Department of Teacher Education has two (2) Divisions namely:
a) Secondary Teacher
Education.
b) Primary Teacher Education.
Each division will be
headed by an Assistant Commissioner.
