1.     The Government of the Republic of Uganda has mobilized funds towards the cost of building capacity in several Government
      owned training Institutions and intends to apply part of the proceeds for supply and delivery of computer sets on a
      framework contract basis for the next financial year i.e. 2007/08.

2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic bidding procedures contained
in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act 2003 and is open to all eligible potential providers.

3. The Ministry of Education and Sports now invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for the supply of 750 sets
of computers over a period of one year.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address below [see 5] from 8.00 a.m. to 5.p.m.

5.     A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a
      written request to the     address at the address below, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ushs.200,000
      (Uganda Shillings Two hundred thousand only)

6. Interested bidders should obtain Bank Payment Advice Forms from the Office of the Cashier on 5^th Floor Embassy House and pay at the designated Bank with effect from 13^th July 2007. On presentation of proof of payment, bid documents may then be collected from the Procurement and Disposal Unit at the address above [see 5] Room 7.13.

7. Bids must be delivered on or before the 17^th August 2007 to the address below on or before 3.00 pm clearly marked “BID FOR SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF COMPUTER SETS UNDER A FRAMEWORK CONTRACT PR 2385”. They will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who will choose to attend in the Boardroom of Embassy House, 7^th Floor, Room 7.7 at 3.10 pm. Local time on the same day. Late Bids will be rejected and returned unopened to tenderers

8. All bids must be accompanied with a Bid Security worth Ushs.10 million shillings or USD 6,000.00 in form of a Bank Guarantee only.

9. There will be a Pre-bid meeting on 24^th July 2007 in the Ministry Boardroom of Embassy House, 7^th Floor,

Room 7.7 starting at 3.00 pm. Local time

10. The Ministry of Education and Sports is not bound by the highest or lowest bidder.
